If you use a car we have parking on site which is a real bonus, or if you use public transport the bus station is just across the road, with the railway station about a 15 minute walk away. Rockdale currently employs around 60 staff.

A Caring Career … Care at Rockdale House is provided by the Deputy Home Manager, three Senior Residential Social Workers, and nine day and eight night RSWs, all under the management of the Home Manager, who is a State Registered Nurse.

The care staff (RSWs) work on a rota of early, late and night shifts, with a Senior and three care staff on duty each morning, and a Senior and two care staff each evening. Each RSW normally works three morning and two evening shifts per week. Two waking night staff are on duty each night.

• Allocations Officer - responsible for letting and selling the sheltered apartments
• Five support workers - providing direct support to the residents
• Housing Management Assistant - responsible for overseeing the Home Help service and general administration
