Fundraising

We appreciate all of the wonderful support from our friends and community. In doing so they are helping us to provide so much more for local people for years to come

Our fundraising focuses on:

• projects to provide the best possible living standards for all of our residents, eg funds to support our activities, such as art club and gardening club;
• establishing a fund to assist those who are less able to afford the kind of care that Rockdale House, our residential care home, has to offer, but would benefit from being here;

If you have an upcoming fundraising activity or challenge and you would like to donate the proceeds to Rockdale please get in touch below. Similarly, if you would like to hold a fundraising event on behalf of Rockdale, please speak to our team to see how we can work together to make it a success!

• Perhaps you are a member of a club or association which might be willing to put on a fundraising event such as a performance, exhibition or lecture?
• Maybe a member of your family has access to an employer’s charitable fund, or “give as you earn” scheme? Often such donations are matched by the employer, which makes your efforts doubly rewarding.
• Do you have in your family any aspiring climbers, hikers, skydivers, etc who would be willing to take on a sponsorship challenge to raise funds for Rockdale? In the past we have enjoyed support from many such examples, from walking in Knole Park to cycling through Kenya.

Whatever you choose to do we are on hand to help. Here is how we can help you to help us:

• A speaker for your group to make you all aware of what Rockdale does and the difference your fundraising will make
• Coverage of your activity in our News and Views magazine, which goes out to around 2,000 supporters three times yearly. We can usually include your flyer in this too to help gather support.
• Advertising for your event on our web site
• Providing information and a presence at your event. If a member of staff is able to attend your event we can come along to tell more people about the cause and bring leaflets giving information about all aspects of the charity.
