Senior Day Resident Support Worker
Job description
Rockdale House in Sevenoaks provides excellent care for the residents in our 50 bed care home, set in beautiful surroundings and located in the centre of Sevenoaks it is highly regarded by the community.
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Resident Support Worker who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to caring for older people, your day to day tasks will include leading and organising the day care staff and working alongside them when necessary, administering medications to residents, conducting supervision’s for care staff and updating resident care plans.
For this role, successful candidates will have:
- Excellent communication skills and be a great team player
- A good understanding of person centred care
- Experience of working in a similar environment
- The ability to make responsible decisions that are always in the resident’s best interest
- Experience of delivering medications
- An NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
Hours of work: 37 hours per week over 5 shifts including weekends and bank holidays over the following shift patterns: Early 7.30am to 2.50pm or late 1.30pm to 9.00pm.
