CARETAKER

Job Description

We are looking for a bright and enthusiastic person to join our on-site maintenance team to support the daily maintenance operation and provide an excellent standard of service to our residents and staff.

Rockdale Housing Association is an independent supported living community and residential care home set in a peaceful corner of Sevenoaks town. You will be part of a team responsible for the maintenance, including cleaning and housekeeping, of 180 self-contained sheltered apartments, and provide maintenance support to our 48-bed care home. Maintenance of the communal areas and facilities is also a key part of this role as is assistance with the garden duties when required.

Working under the supervision of our existing Caretaker, you will be well organised with a proven practical capability in a maintenance environment. It is essential that you are able to work as part of a team as well as individually and use your own initiative when problem solving.

A positive attitude and excellent work ethic are key to this role and it is vital that you can accept direction and adjust your approach accordingly. You should be experienced at managing your own workload and be able to prioritise tasks accordingly.

Ideally you will have experience with property maintenance and a basic understanding of Health & Safety at work. Qualifications in plumbing, heating, carpentry or electrics would be an advantage but not essential.

Hours of work:  38.75 hours per week

Salary:  £19,128- £20,301 depending on experience

SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER (maternity cover)

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Officer to join our busy team, covering maternity leave to assist in maintaining the Association’s financial records.

About you

You should have a minimum of 3 years post AAT qualification experience of accounts up to trial balance and a good understanding of financial administration procedures. An understanding of working in the charitable or not-for-profit sector would also be desirable.

  • Degree or equivalent qualification (Essential)
  • AAT Certificate (Essential)
  • Experience of Sage and Quickbooks (Desirable)
  • Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills (Essential)

Hours of work: Part time, temporary (to cover maternity leave) 25 hours per week (flexible)

HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT

Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for motivated and hard-working Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. Working as part of our valued team you will carry out a variety of housekeeping and cleaning tasks to help maintain high standards of cleanliness and create a clean, tidy and welcoming environment for our residents, visitors and staff.

About you

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; as we will give you the full training and support you’ll need to do the job. What is important to us is that you are an enthusiastic, reliable and caring individual who has good communication skills and attention to detail.

Hours of work:38 hours per week, flexible working including weekends over the following shifts: early 8am-4pm, 10am- 2pm or late 2pm-8pm or 4pm-8pm.

£9.09 basic per hour/ £11.36 enhanced per hour.
