RSW (Carer) Job Description

WEEKEND RSW (Carer)

We have an new opportunity for a caring and motivated Level 3 Qualified RSW (Carer) to join our team. Working as part of our valued care team you will carry out a range of tasks that help us provide the day to day quality care and support to our residents which includes administering medications, personal care, daily activities and completing care plans.

About you

You must be Level 3 qualified in Health & Social Care (or working towards) and be trained in administering medications to residents, experience in a care home setting is desirable.

Essential:

·         Level 3 qualification or working towards- Health & Social Care

·         Be trained and competent to administer medication to residents

·         GCSE- Maths & English

·         Good MS skills

·         Ability to work independently as well as in a team

·         Understand person centred care

Desirable:

·         Previous experience working with older people in a care home setting

·         An understanding of working in the charitable or not-for-profit sector

Hours of work: 2 days a week over a Saturday and Sunday ONLY, over the following shift patterns: early 7.30am-2.30pm or late 1.30pm-9.00pm or long day (13.5 hour shift)

£14.00 per hour

RSWs (Carers)

We have exciting opportunities for caring and motivated RSW’s (Carer’s) to join our team. Working as part of our valued care team you will carry out a range of tasks that help us provide the day to day quality care and support to our residents which includes personal care, daily activities and completing care plans.

About you

Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential; as we will give you the full training and support you’ll need to do the job. What is important to us is that you have a caring nature, a person centred approach and understand and respect the care needs of our residents.

Essential:

·         GCSE- Maths & English

·         Good MS skills

·         Ability to work independently as well as in a team

·         Understand person centred care

Desirable:

·         Level 2 qualification (or working towards) in Health & Social Care

·         Previous experience working with older people in a care home setting       

Hours of work: 28-36 hours per week over 4-5 shifts including weekends over the following shift patterns: early 7.30am-2.30pm or late 1.30pm-9.00pm.

£9.84 per hour weekdays/ £12.30 per hour weekends

If you are medication trained- £10.45 per hour weekdays/ £13.06 per hour weekends
