Caretaker Job Description


Job Description

Rockdale Housing Association are looking for an experienced caretaker with a broad range of experience and skills in property maintenance, with a good understanding of Health and Safety at work. This is a 6 month fixed term temporary post, to be reviewed after this time.

Working under the supervision of our existing caretaker, you will need a positive attitude and excellent work ethic, and it is vital that you can accept direction and adjust your approach accordingly. You should be experienced at managing your own workload and be able to prioritise tasks accordingly.

We offer a competitive salary, a pension and health cash-back scheme, 6 weeks annual leave increasing to 7 weeks after 5 years’ service (including BH), company sick pay payable after 6 months, a referral bonus scheme and full training and support with your professional development. The successful applicant will be offered the role subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS check, and the taking up and verification of references.

Hours of work: 25 hours per week Monday to Friday, 6-month fixed term contract.

Salary: £12,924.32 per annum
