We have lots of outings and events throughout the year to bring residents together and enjoy celebrations.

Find out what has happened and what is going to happen here!

Summer Barbecue

During our sizzling Summer, residents go together for a barbeque. It was an afternoon of good fun, good food and laughter. It was a good chance to use our outdoor patio area behind Beatrice Wilson Common Room where residents and visitors are always welcome to enjoy the outdoor space Rockdale has to offer. We hope that there will lots more barbeques here next Summer. A big thank you to everyone that came along and especially to the support workers who decorated the space to look like we were on holiday and for also cooking a delicious spread!

Mayors Garden Visit

The Mayor of Sevenoaks paid us a visit at the end of August and enjoyed a walk around the gardens which recently won a “First” Award from Sevenoaks District in Bloom 2018.

The Mayor commented on the profusion of colour we have on show not to mention an abundance of vegetables. The magnificent display was created and cared for by our Head Gardener Annette Whitney and her dedicated team. We were also awarded a Certificate of Excellence for Sevenoaks Town in Bloom 2018 for having the Best Community Ornamental Project here at Rockdale and one of our residents won an individual award for her impressive display of hanging baskets and tubs outside her apartment.

The Mayor enjoyed tea and cake with residents and staff and we look forward to inviting him back next year to celebrate another victory!
