From garden to plate! The edible flowers from the garden, enhancing our Summer salads beautifully!
18th July 2019
Judging took place on Friday, 5th July for South-East in Bloom. Our Head Gardener, Annette and her team, along with resident volunteer, ‘Mrs G’, worked extremely hard to create a planting theme for the 2019 entry, with edible plants and red, white and blue planting.
One of our residents kindly wrote up the value of the edible plants to finish off the entry.
Pictures speak louder than words sometimes, so please enjoy the pictures below taken on Judging day. We will hear the results in September.

To commemorate our 100 years since the end of WW1 we are asking residents and friends to come together to share their stories, memories and memorabilia from war times. If you have things to bring along and share please do so, and if you do not, please come along to see what others have to show and hear one another’s stories.
